Warning Labels

I was on a video call recently with a friend who announced she was coming in with a warning label. She held up her wrist and there, in fact, was a warning label. She’d recently had surgery and the band around her wrist warned her and others of temporary medical dangers.

We laughed but it got me thinking.

We all come with warning labels. We just can’t always see them (ours or others).

Mine might say:

  • Warning: Prone to swearing. Enthusiastically. Frequently.
  • Warning: Hates small talk. Will ask probing, thought-provoking questions regardless of surroundings.
  • Warning: This person is mostly positive, joyful and effusive. If you are determined to be dissatisfied, keep clear.

What would yours say?
